After my frame DIY, it only seemed appropriate to follow up with some actual posters. Above are some of my current favorites, and though my taste in posters varies a lot depending on the time of year and such, I definitely have my go-to brands, like the beautiful and quirky images from Bob Noon. I've also fallen in love with the graphic, colorful posters from Sofie Børsting, which are right up my alley. Which do you like?

DIY: floating picture frame

Time for the easiest DIY project you'll ever make - the floating frame. It's basically placing a poster in a larger frame, making the area between the picture and the edge see through and light. I think it looks amazing, and it's a fun way to spruce up your decor.

HOW TO MAKE IT:

1) Buy two of the same frames (get them cheaply at IKEA or dollarstores). Make sure the "closure" in the back is tiny pieces of metal, which you easily push to open and close the backing (pictured above). It looks nicer that way!

2) Remove the backing from the first frame and add your poster. Adjust it so there's equal amounts of space all around the edges.

3) Grab the glass from the second frame, and use it in place of the backing on the first frame. Press the metal plates to close it and voilá!

I've seen similar frames to this being sold with quite a hefty price tag, when really, it's incredibly cheap to make yourself. And it looks gorgeous. How do you like the DIY?

the good vs. the bad #1

In an attempt to make my blog a bit more personal, I've come up with a slightly original idea of presenting some ups and downs of my everyday life. And no, it's not meant to be taken too seriously - after all, I do have a flair for the overly dramatic. It's simply meant to be somewhat humorous.

GOOD: Stormy weather prevented me from picking up my new phone at the post office. Two days later, I now have it! // Stormen forhindrede mig i at hente min nye telefon på posthuset. 2 dage senere, og jeg har den endelig!
BAD: Now I'm waiting to get the new sim-card I apparently need. Technology.... Teknologi.....

GOOD: I remembered to bye hair-dye, so I can re-colour my blonde hair (yes, I'm definitely going for the Cruella De Ville, half-and-half look). About time too, since my blonde hair is more roots than anything.
BAD: I still have to wait till the end of the month for someone who can help me out. Guess I have to live with the ugly hair a bit longer. Woe is me.

GOOD: I finally acquired a new pair of long work-out tights, so I can get back in shape comfortably!
BAD: I'm lazy and I like chocolate. A lot. // Jeg er doven og elsker chokolade. Meget.

What do you think about these types of blogposts? And what are your current ups and downs?

(... Also, yes, I'm shamefully re-using a photo because I can't get any new ones at the moment. Whoops.)
